Embodiment
‘Embodiment’ refers to the idea that Emotional Intelligence lives more in the body than it does in the brain. To cultivate emotional intelligence one must learn to read and work with the signals from the physical body, feel at home in the body, and move and breathe with awareness.
Embodiment principals are central to somatic psychotherapies, therapeutic dance, embodied yoga practices, and related movement specialties.
